Welcome to Cocoa Beach, Florida. Biff and I have been going to this sweet little beach community for years and we love it. It seemed natural to set a series of stories there, highlighting the beautiful scenery, the unique businesses, and the available activities and events.

Meet the Murphys.

Maria Murphy lost her husband several years ago. Her six children are grown, leading their lives in the area, and leaving a hole in her heart. After years of being a stay-at-home mother what’s she supposed to do now?

Bennett, the oldest, is the head of the family’s construction company. He feels a heavy burden to watch over his family, and even though he has feelings for the pretty interior decorator that his company employs, he’ll put that away to do his job as head of the family.

Nate was betrayed by the woman he’d planned to spend his wife with. His goal is to work hard as the architect for his family’s company and build his dream home on the river.

Landon, the accountant for the business, is the most vocal of the Murphy children. He loves a good debate, especially with his siblings.

Julie is office manager and usually knows what’s going in in the family and the community. With a romantic spirit, she yearns for a marriage like her parents had and will wait for her Prince Charming to come to her.

Hudson is happiest with a hammer in his hand. Easy going and generally happy, he enjoys an active social life and working with his siblings.

Sophie, the youngest of the kids, chose a different path. Although she’s not quite sure what that path is. Currently, she’s a waitress at the iconic Paddy’s Seaside Ice Cream Parlor Restaurant.

Book One deals with Nate. He’s definitely not looking for a romance. But he can’t help enjoying the shy adoration from the pretty little baker at a nearby bakery. And then when he hears a masked singer at a local contest, he knows he’s in love. But how can he be interested in two different women?
